Amber Mozambique 2020 – 10 ml

Handmade in our Amaravati studio, I processed this beautiful, one of a kind sphere of ocean’s gold in 2020. I use it in Amaravati perfume formulas and also neat on my skin. It has lovely nuances of suede, sweet with low mustiness compared to darker types. This is a wonderful gem for the natural perfumer’s palette.

Ingredients: Ethanol, Ambergris 10%. NOTE: due to alcohol evaporation loss as the tincture ages, the concentration is somewhat higher than 10%.

With pleasure I’m now offering a small amount of hand-tinctured authentic amber from a rare, old, one-of-a-kind specimen that I acquired at the beginning of 2020. It was a near-perfect sphere, found in the beach sands of Mozambique, and it had micro seashells embedded on the surface – how cool is that?! The 100g solid tan piece was completely homogenous through and through and I really enjoyed breaking it down.

Ambergris as a natural perfume ingredient can take a nice perfume and transform it into a beautiful one. This is a nice way to experience amber for those who want to familiarize themselves with it. It can also be worn under your favorite natural essences as an animalic base. Try applying it to your wrist with a drop of jasmine and a drop of bergamot over it – heavenly!
